Aron Mörel has really cool hair, a generous smile, good taste in whisky and publishes lovely books. Mörel Books is based in London and specializes in affordable art books and zines. Mörel works in close collaboration with the artists and the quality of this partnership is naturally apparent in each book. One of my favorites is Some British Birds by Edwyn Collins, who after having two strokes, lost control of the right side of his body. His daily journal of bird illustrations show a gentle progression of learning to render with his left hand. I love the smudges and the soulful expressions of the birds.
