I've recently started appreciating the little things in life, especially when you come across miniatures working on tomatoes or partying on a cupcake. So hilarious and inspiring. I'll be at the local hobbies shop down the road if you need me...
When a lovely friend of mine, Jaime, who is breathing the Parisian smokey air as we speak sent me this concept from the blog siteroom service,I couldn't help but think of Jen and The BFF Gabi. What an amazing concept from Jim.
Every Sunday evening for the past 30 years he has hosted a dinner party open to anyone who can come. "People from all corners of the world come to break bread together, to meet, to talk, connect and often become friends. All ages, nationalities, races, professions gather here, and since there is no organised seating, the opportunity for mingling couldn't be better. I love the randomness. I believe in introducing people to people. "
Our seasons are different...moving into autumn over here is nice and all, but that usually leads to winter and I'm not known to be the biggest fan. If I could travel every six months to visit, I would have an endless summer. * sigh* If you don't already know, Kat Heyes is an amazing illustrator.
There's something about greys, pinks, turbans and sea shells that remind me of Jen. If we were to escape into a paper world I think I would take us here, to Gracia and Louise. We'll be sure to send everyone a postcard.
One day Jen asked me to visit this site and find Kat Macleod, a Melbourne-based artist whose exhibition I happened to to stumble into about a month prior to Jen's advice. That was a happy coincidence if I've ever heard of one. ( Subscribe to Michi girl for Kat's illos daily and also to see what my weather is like along with some fashion forecasting, mostly from Oz designers;)
When Jen and I met it was on a grassy field on a sunny day about 9 years ago...She has been a constant source of inspiration and a delight to have in my life, even now as we are separated by a large and beautiful sea... S is for sexy stilettos and stockings and stitching. Something we both do alot of.
