I wouldn't mind taking a try at some ink drawings myself. I really love these pieces by Nienke Klunder. Hair, fur, paper, drawings, the wheels are really turning with inspiration for some new photos...drawings...collages, we'll see...
If I were ballsy enough, I would ink my skin with a few of these elements like the skull or wolf or bird. But alas! I am not. The last romance, Future Primitive and Nevermind are the titles of these incredible illos done by Rik Lee.
Jen, you're amazing. This we know. So when I saw your latest paper hair project, I couldn't help but be inspired. So, I took some flowers and created a hair piece for my sister in law, Rebecca. Isn't she lovely? The light was delish and we ended up playing in a garden until the mozzies decided to run us out. So, this is my dedication to you.
The other night my dear friend, the Retartist, gave me a promo cassette of Red House Painters Down Colorful Hill. I have always loved this photograph by Simon Larbalestier. Who has done several album covers for Red House Painters, The Pixies, and many others. The last image reminds me of something you would see at this lady's house.
The most delicious blog for your hungry eyes. Good friends, Jenn & Mike, did an amazing job on Gabi's new site. I am happy and proud to say that I am one of the special people she feeds quite often. Above are a few of my favorite sweets, this post would've be miles long had I started browsing the soups. Mmm mmm, check out the beautiful Honest Fare and make yourself something yummy this weekend. p.s. no salmon loaf ; )
falling in love with these photographs five years ago? Les Slesnick, Orlando photographer, can be found sitting modestly at a little booth in art festivals around the country. I need to have a cup of coffee with this guy, I bet he has some amazing stories.
The beholder is a place where painters, drawers and picture takers go to share and sell their work. I found these out of many and thought i could perhaps purchase one, but i think ill need to save just a tad more. enjoy.
