Art is for sharing not keeping for yourself. The more people your work can speak to the more powerful it becomes. Let it fall out of your hands and into the minds of others. You can't own it, you can only create it -Hisham Bharoocha

I welcome these incredible Artist Music Journals with open arms.
p.s. I have finally emailed you some photos ; )
Best of luck with the project! I can't wait to see. xo

Dead Galaxy

I have a dear friend named Presser who recently had an exhibition at Mart Gallery of collages and pieces which are mostly galaxy inspired...and who is not inspired by the galaxy, seriously? Dead Galaxy II was Presser's second successful show and i am the lucky owner of at least 6 of his prints. Visit his site for more collages and if interested, send him a cosmic hello. A Cassavetes Evening

All you need to make a film is love and honesty.

Thawas the answer to every question asked to Seymour Cassel and Gena Rowland at last night's Florida Film Festival event which featured John Cassavetes's Faces followed by a Q&A.

"John loved actors, he loved performance." Seymour Cassel opened up the many memories of his career with Cassavetes and Gena Rowland elegantly agreed with delicate smiles and nods that her husband had been one of the most honest and compassionate directors of his time. Such an incredible evening, there is so much to learn from that generation of actors.

When It Rains, It Shines

In preparation for a photography exhibition I am curating in May, which will focus on the many facets of Florida, I have dug into some interesting histories. As a fourth generation Floridian of Cuban decent, I have lived atop the Everglades, the white hot streets of Miami Beach and the lake punched land in Central Florida. All of these places have roots of complex development with bitter-sweet tangles of politics and culture. I finally feel close to something I wasn't sure how to identify with. More thoughts to come...
